Getting started with Brightsquid Appointment Reminders

Introduction

The Brightsquid Appointment Reminders service is available to medical providers in Canada who are using one of the supported Electronic Medical Record systems (EMR).  When enabled the Appointment Reminders service will automatically notify, remind and securely collect pre-appointment information from patients prior to scheduled appointments.

Providers can send reminders on a set schedule, for specific (or all) providers and specify reminders for specific appointment types.  Reminders are delivered via regular email and/or SMS Text Messages.  Providers can optionally provide a secure section in the reminder for the discussion of private healthcare information.

 

System and Clinic Requirements

All clinics implementing the Appointment Reminders system must first be subscribed to the Brightsquid Secure-Mail service.  Implementing clinics must also have a supported EMR implemented in their clinic.
