After the submission of a referral case, the case ‘Note’ feature is initialized as highlighted by the red box in the image below:
The ‘Note’ feature is used for communication between the participants in an eConsult.
Clarifying information, asking for more detail from the sender for example, or adding new data after the case has started etc.
To add a note after an eConsult is submitted, click on the ‘Case #’ to open the referral:
When the case referral opens click on the ‘Add a note to case’ button:
Enter your case note and when done click the ‘Submit’ button.
Your note is posted to the eConsult referral case:
A notification email message is sent and a ‘Note’ indicator is added to the note column in the case list:
Once a case is assigned notes cannot be added.
